My brother and I were on vacation in Los Angeles, and after a long flight, the last thing we wanted was to stand in line at a rental counter. But that’s exactly what we did — we waited forever, dealt with unexpected fees, pushy upsells, offsite shuttles, and confusing paperwork just to get on the road.
We looked at each other and said:
“It’s 2025. Why isn’t there a better way to rent a car?”
That moment sparked the idea for Crown Auto Rentals — and we brought it to life right here in our hometown, Madison, Wisconsin.
We started with just one car and a whole lot of hustle. My brother and I handled everything ourselves — bookings, cleanings, deliveries, customer service. Over time, our family pitched in, helping us grow while keeping our service personal and community-driven.
